Some things have been, as of late (I'd say since about late November to December), happening in my life that I'd call a kind of rennaissance if you will - a rebirth, a dramatic growth. And it has gone (is going) far beyond simply an intellectual or spiritual one, exclusive to one singular aspect of my being and my outlook - its a radical change and growth of what you could call my cosmolgy. The pieces have been "falling together" since the above time last year - coming together in ways that the pieces themselves are entirely seperate and unkown to each other - and my faith in the growth and the discovery is in that connection between the pieces as they fall in my lap and fit themselves together before my very eyes. I'll see what detail I can go into at a future time.

To my friends who might happen upon this: please receive my utmost apologies for my lack of communication for however long it has been now (altogether too long, no doubt) - it is not my intention by any means. If anything it merely signals my ability to let things slide far too long, far too far. I apologize.

As I've already said (I believe), I have foot-mouth disease as well as pink eye. On Tuesday morning I slept in and missed my 8:15 rec staff meeting, and in fact missed most of breakfast as well. The good part: as with almost every night I've been at camp, I had some pretty cool dreams. 'Cool' isn't quite the best descriptive word for it; they have been entirely filled to the brim with that ethereal and mystical quality some dreams have. On that Tuesday, during that breakfast hour itself I believe, I had some strange kind of a movie teaser trailer playing over and over again as I drifted in and out of consciousness. The movie, it turns out, is a remake of The Wizard of Oz, in a kind of Moulin Rouge-meets-Big Fish kind of way. It was pretty cool. At one point a narrator chimes in a line to the effect of "And you do this all for the sake of a man you've never even met." and for a while there I (for some reason) assumed it was Aslan the lion ala Lion, Witch, Wardrobe; something in my mind made that part out to be a seperate trailer until fully conscious reflection.

The other part I remember quire clearly is there is a great tubing shaft much like the ones seen in either Death Star, save that this one is a bit smaller. Anyway, there are lights going all along it as it leads almost straight down for quite a distance. The main players, signing some song I've never heard before (the only lyrics I can recall go something like "take a dream and fly, fly [away]") step onto short plates sticking into the technological bottomless pit (assumable to a now-subteranean Emerald City) and elevated slightly. One large on in the center of the side they are on for the main character and smaller ones for the rest; at the tip are lights in, of course, green. As they sing the plates' hinges give way and they are falling, head-first in slow motion down.

As to how they plan on not cracking their heads open I wasn't able to find out. Too bad such a thing would require an entire (outstanding) film writing and directing career to get enough support to make since I think I would like it myself. I shant even attempt an independent version; it wouldn't ever even come close to shaping up to the version I already know as a result of the dream.

Strange stuff, isn't it?

So I've been home from college, been home, been home, been home, been home, been to camp, and now I'm back at home. I all too afraid this will turn into a rush-to-get-everything-down-and-the-though-alone-makes-me-tired, so I'll get to what I can when I can. When I got home from college I had high hopes that met the harsh reality of home, as it always does. It always hits me harder than I ever thought it would. Funny how that works.

As a result I did primarily nothing, I'm extremely embarassed to admit. Letting too many things take precedent at once. I was finally pushed to call Camp and see about a job (they hadn't contacted me ahead of time regarding one as in years past, the largest factor in my hesitancy in doing so.) I've been there two weeks when I got a really bad cold - a terribly bad sore throat, etc. Maggie (camp nurse) took a look and determined it wasn't strep and likely just a cold. Regardless I had my mom take me the next day (yesterday) to see a doctor, since spreading anything other than a cold in a camp of campers is never good. The doctor said it was something-something-itus aka hand-foot-viral infection. To be honest I was hoping to get a ticket home to get some things I couldn't instruct others to get (ie off the computer, etc), and when my mom brought it up I was given it. When I got back to camp I was given two days even - then last night here at home I started getting mucous slash goop in my right eye - and this morning, in both. A phone call to the doctor said it was bacterial Pink Eye. Fun stuff.

So now I'm here till about Saturday morning; sick, unable to see anything terrible clearly most of the time (due to goop or the medicine cream I need to apply thrice daily.) I'll get around to writing more, specifically regarding Camp, at a later time. Suffice it to say that, should I fully tackle the situation as I left it when I get back, this ought to prove to be a great summer all around.

Recoutning of Dreams Past (2 of them to be exact)

<lj:music>Darude vs. Robert Miles - Children Of The Sandstorm</lj:music>

On the off chance anyone save myself is interested, I barely was able to recover some documents from the belowmentioned laptop that is now dead, and herein are recounted two particular dream journal entries I had on that laptop in particular. Please excuse the tiredness I had at the time, many things are repeated in my retelling(s).

JUNE 11 2004

I have another hour of sleep I need to/want to get, but needed to get this dream down before it slips away. I don't remember exactly what was going on, but I was walking alongside many houses to my right, sloped front yard leading down into the sidewalk, road. They were nice houses, and the last one, after which the setting turned into a heavily city like area, had a girl sitting on the front lawn with some leafs and had some ice cream (makes no sense, but that how I remember it) and I knew right away that she was going to take a picture of herself. She was in a dress, kind of messed up intentionaly for this shot, and possibly had some of the fake blood on it, but I cannot remember either way. I immediately ran over and offered to take the picutre, so instead of holding the camera out herself and taKing it, she handed the camera to me and then lay right down on the sloped ground there, pretending to be dead. I did something
and a litle line of blood trekled down the leafs and stuff there. I lay down, and angled the camera from the blood and leafs to her. Kind of a beauty in death, or death of beauty, kind of deal. Didn't have time to get the shot, her father ran out and yelled about me being some strange boy, etc. Took her inside, and I said "I'll see you later", or something similar. Their backs were both turned when I saw a younger girl with long hair who I just knew to be
that girl's sister. She shrugged her shoulders, and I did the same, and I walked off. From that point on I thought of the setup with papers neatly intwined, and possible some kind of ice cream. the original girl had brown hair as I recall, but all else is vague to me now. I knew she was beautiful. Can't recall the specifics at the moment.

Anyway, then I walked off. Can't remember what happened, I do remember being worried that I'd get mugged. Oh, and this seemed to be at night. My dream setting wasn't terrible definitive about that point, but stuff was lit up like it was getting pretty dark. But it wasn't dark at ground level... It's weeud. When walking back through an alleyway to the city setting of the above, I bumped into some kid and he said it was alright in a way that made me say there are college kids here. I looked to my right and saw Tom (of Miller Hall fame) and distincively knew he was making fun of me. We had an ackward pause stare-down, and I moved on. His hair, I remember, was a lightly yellow white, streaked up and stuff. It looked funky.

The rest I cannot recall too much at this point... I did something where Scott and Eric were kings of some backlot area of people. This was infered, but it seemed they were very highly regarded among the people to be their leaders etc. Not literal kings, is what I meant, anyway. It seems I was visiting them for the first time in a while, and Scott was referring to Eric about memories of their days as the leaders there, quoting stuff. The area was weird... I distincly remember the area, but from a small model type deal instead of a usual 1:1 thing. It was like I had the dream with those characters, but forgot all about the setting and place and instead remember it as this little scaled model of the same. I remember looking around and thinking, this isn't too bad a place to rule. Got that nice bridge thing over there (crosswalk over highways, monrails except nothing was under it) ,you can yell at people from up there and stuff. And I wondered if the chat box can still be seen from the ground (it seems video games really have altered my thinking).

That's all I can remember, pretty much. Just didn't want to let it die with the new sleep.
-----------
Never actually was able to fall back asleep, unfortunatly. Anyway, as for the asking for permission to take the photo part; I just knew I wanted to do so and walked over and the rest was automatic, as if it was all automatic. [Editor's Note: I may not have been able to fall back asleep after writing the first section, but obviously I wasn't still voer my drowsiness :) Not quite telepathic, because the issue of permission was never really handled at all, in any way. It was all just kind of understood.

I have a small laptop that is always on in my room, and I used to to record this dream in notepad, poifect for keeping a dream journal. So, may be more at some point.

NOV 2 2004

Had a very strange dream last night, not unlike many nights, but in this instance I both knew that I was dreaming (and yet was not lucid or at all becoming so) as well as the fact that my senses from the actual real world were blended with the dream, as I remember. My window was open and a small bit of light was on the wall next to my bed, and I c.eearly remember seeing that light on the wall while in the dream.

It took place on one of my pseudo-TMS campuses, always fused witha good bit of forrest. But it was dark this time, and cold, and confusing - and scarey. I had to wait in some room with some people and got in trobule whenever I move from where I was, next to the wall and a pillar. There was a kind of teacher to my left, just out of site when I sat/stood by ythe wall, and another friend at a desk in plain clear view of the teacher authiority figure. iI remember being able to sneak away from the room. It was night and the room had a warm light color in it. When I returned, the lights were out and it was very dark - some blue light from the virtual moonlight was in, but it was still very dark. I went over to the desk where my friend was, to find them to be burttally murded. I then left the room running, and out of a set of dobule doors of the building into the night, chasing someme person or something; and at this time I remeber that light in my eal room being fused withthe dream - it is possible that I woke up after taking chase to this figure, and was still in such a deek sleep that my room was part of the dream. When I came to from being really out of it, I was curled up in a very tight ball, and when I turned over to fall back asleep I ached from having been in that position.

This is all I can recall, but as I was falling back asleep after it was over I had that eerie feeling of it having been days since being in the real world.weird.
